On y croit ou on n’y croit pas !
Personne n’a attendu que soit peint sur la route un petit vélo ou que soient plantés des poteaux de signalisation pour emprunter… la route pour circuler à vélo. Et aucun vélo supplémentaire n’y a circulé depuis.
En effet, aucun effort de voirie n’a été fait pour que la circulation à vélo se développe en toute sécurité. En faisant croire par des sigles divers que quelques rues de la ville étaient devenues par magie des pistes cyclables et ce même dans le sens opposé à la circulation, on met en danger la vie de ceux qui aimeraient pourtant bien pédaler pour circuler dans Verrières.
C’est par un réel aménagement des cheminements que cela pourra se faire et l’engagement de l’équipe de « Réussir Verrières 2014 » est bien sur ce chemin-là, celui de créer un véritable « plan vélo » :
Réaliser un nouveau plan de circulation dédié.
Déployer un stationnement vélo sécurisé et peu onéreux.
Développer des services « vélos » (location moyenne ou longue durée, ateliers de réparation, prévention sécurité…).
Développer l'intermodalité avec les transports en commun.
Car oui, nous faisons partie de ceux qui en ont envie et qui y croient.

Ces simples peintures au sol sont dangereuses car les cyclistes se croient en sécurité et se sentent dans leurs droits alors que les automobilistes ignorent totalement ces soi-disant "pistes". Parfois une voiture a déjà du mal à passer, alors à côté d'un vélo ! et de plusieurs ! Le centre ville et la rue du collège sont particulièrement dangereux. J'ai testé sur mon vélo et dans ma voiture et c'est très risqué. Et ne parlons pas de l'état des routes et des trottoirs...
